Students sing for nursing home residents
January 06, 2009
On Thursday, Dec. 18, the Canadian Montessori Academy’s elementary and middle-school students went to the Medex Nursing Home to sing Christmas carols to the residents. The joy on the faces of the residents could be seen as they joined in and sang along with the students. After the sing-along, the students introduced themselves to the residents one by one, and served them cookies and coffee. It was a great learning experience for the students, as they discovered that serving others truly made them feel good about themselves. submitted
